The History of La Vigie
The story of La Vigie is one deeply rooted in passion, history, and a love for animals. The name “La Vigie” holds special significance—it comes from the family home where our journey began.
Nestled along the shores of Lake Geneva in Pully, La Vigie is not just a house but a symbol of care and tradition.
In 1970, the legacy took its first steps with the birth of a kennel, proudly bearing the name “La Vigie.” This marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to pets and their well-being.
By 1979, the journey expanded into grooming with the opening of one of the very first grooming salons in Lausanne, located on Rue Marterey, aptly named “La Vigie Boutique.” The success of this venture inspired further growth, leading to the establishment of “La Vigie Grooming” in 1986 on Rue de l’Ancienne Douane.
The vision of La Vigie reached Geneva in 1988, with a salon near Manor, followed by a second Geneva location in Rive in 1992, specializing in Terrier grooming under the name “White and Black by La Vigie.”
Finally, in Montreux on Grand Rue, “La Vigie Dog Saloon” opened its doors, operating with excellence and dedication until the end of 2024.
For over five decades, La Vigie has been synonymous with premium pet care, offering unparalleled grooming services for all dog breeds. Our legacy reflects a steadfast commitment to quality, tradition, and a genuine love for animals—a reputation we proudly carry forward into the future.
